Jacques Coming up to the stage for First In Class, Riding with him is Mr & Mrs Claude Figoni. Claude is the son of the builder of this car in France in 1937.
Car: 1939 Delahaye Type 165 Rare V12 only 2 built of this body style By
Figoni et Falaschi. They both exist. It has a retractable windshield that
disappears all the way down to cowl by means of a crank handle under the
dash. It is half way down as it shows on the photo. Has a rumble seat also.
You see me winning Frist in class in 1978. The passenger is my good friend
Charley Simontachi. That was 23 years ago. I was a young pup of 38. Notice
the field, Not as crowded as today's turn out for the greatest show on earth.
Jacques, Debbie, & Ole Doc Hemp himself with the Figoni Filashi Tee Shirt (Thanks to Jacques) ... I would also like to take this time just to say it has been a pleasure to donate this website for such wonderful friends like Jacques and Betty .... Not to mention for such an elegant car to boot! Jacques daughter Debra is a special friend too.
