I'll try to keep this short. I make "Custom Personalized" Clocks and I am going on the web next week. My Pro Street 63 Mercury Comet was totaled by someone running a red light and I thought I might like a 53 Studebaker for my next project and thats what led me to your sight and I loved it... Saw your wifes car and I am a 348- 409 fan so I thought I would design a clock for her... and I just love desigining clocks. I sell my clocks for $19.95 and $3.75 shipping and handling. You are the first people I have ever sent my clocks to without knowing them personally. By the way your is a one of a kind clock...and they are 8" in diamater and use 1 AA battery. I hope you enjoy it and if you are interested in buying one you can e-mail me for the particulars.
Thank you,
Wayne Taylor
P.S. I'am also sending my Chevelle Clock.... and I really enjoyed your sight

Your 60 is a beauty!I also have a 60 conv. white blk top redinterior fully restored.I've had mine 15yrs and go to a lot of car shows in NE Ohio and never see any 60's especially convertibles. But mine always draws a lot of attention and smiles and a lot of trophies.Ladies especially "just love that car".

Last winter I pulled the engine (283)and had it completly rebuilt I also replaced the cast iron powerglide with an aluminum pg from a 65 Impala.I saved a lot of weight and you can change the tranny fluid and filter from the removeable pan on the botom. The drive shaft (front section)musy be shortened a few inches nad a later year yoke with finer teeth used.

There can't be too many of our cars left so we must take good care of them!I consider these cars as WORKS OF ART and can't imagine they were once dayly drivers!

Thanks.

In 1964, summer of, I grauated from Adel high school, Adel, Iowa. At that time I bought a 1960 Chevy convertible. It was baby blue with a white top....What a car for an 18 yr old. This Beauty had a 348 wedgefire/3spd. which I converted to a Hearst 3 spd on the floor. Anyway, I paid 2500 for this car and drove it for 2 yrs before going over seas. When I returned it just wasn't the same car,,,,,,wish I had it now.

Anyway, it blows me away looking at these classics and hoping...someday I will once again own one....

Thanks for allowing me to view your beautiful Impala. Every night I get on the net and look for 58 Impalas, My Favorite, that others have. I hope that I can make my dream come true someday, like I think yours has, and have one for my very on.

Enjoy your ride, it looks great. Bob

Hello,

I was looking for a 60-66 Chevy Impala hardtop or convertible to buy and a web search brought me to your page accidentally. I must say, however, you have a very fine 1960 drop top Impala. I am totally envious of you!! I hope I can find one as nice as yours some day. I have a 1986 Chevy Caprice Classic 2-door (last production year) with 16,000 original little old lady driven miles on it. I prefer the classic style of the 60's Impalas much more and so I'm looking for someone who would be willing to trade or else part with their car. Not that I'd be so bold as to ask you, my car's not worth any where near as much as your prized possession.

Take care and best wishes.

Hi Guys...

My name is Nikki, and in 1989 I bought a 1960 Impala 2-door hardtop. All of my high school friends thought I was insane. They soon came around! In 1992 financial problems caused me to sell my beloved car and buy a smaller car that would be cheaper to maintain. I was in a delimma. All of the people who wanted to spend the big money for my car wanted to chop the top and lower it. I wasn't willing to do that to my prized possession. I ended up selling it (for substantially less money) to a man who had owned one in the 60's and wanted to restore it.

I have never stopped looking at thesse beautiful automobiles. I am glad to see that there are people who's love affair with the Impala has lasted almost 40 years! I hope to own one again in the near future. I and my husband (I was 17 when we started dating) have been fortunate in the last couple of years and are to the point where we can have a fun car again. I hope to find a convertible this time, exactly the same the same color as yours. Mine was the same color.

Happy Driving!
