"The Farm" Where I was raised as a kid - just a stones throw away from Easton PA across the Delaware River in Philipsburg NJ. in Harmony County. Grandaddy Wester owned a mountain top there, up a steep twisty dirt road. He raised mountain trout in many ponds fed with fresh cold spring water. He built all these & many more ponds by himself with only a wheelbarrow to mix the cement in & placed all the stones himself over a 50 year period! There was Grammy & Grandpop Wester (the inventor) Uncle Andy, (who always spent about $300 on fire works for every 4th of July!!!!! Uncle Jack ( the bootlegger) Aunt Lucille, Alice, Kathy (my favorite along with cousin Jerry because of our similar ages) ... Susy, ..... the big house, the little house, the barn where my cousin Jerry Zoldack (also spent a lot of time there) told me to learn to smoke a cigar you must first exhale all your air out & then suck in as hard & fast as you can! I did & passed out cold! We had the upper muddy pond (about 2 acres) to swim in warm water right in the middle of the woods. We would hunt ground hogs, etc. It was a great life! Catching fire flies, camping, fishing, star gazing, etc. There was also Uncle Steve & Aunt Nellie Zoldack's farm, we spent lots of time there with cousin Jerry & Susy. Jerry & I would rubber band pea shooters to our .22 cal single shot rifles for scopes & shoot butter flies in half down in the fields from the hayloft. Aunt Nellie owned a bakery & uncle Steve smoked cigars for a living. Hee-hee! He reminded me of Groucho Marx.
